A Sunshine-themed First Birthday

Today Sunshine-themed First Birthday comes to us from Jenny of Vello Vintage Family in honor of her daughter Penelope's special day. The main inspiration behind the theme for this event was Penelope's favorite song - "You Are My Sunshine". Using a color palette of aqua, yellow + grey, Jenny and her husband Blake used many household items that they already had on hand to create the decorations for this party - they even designed and created the gorgeous sunshine pinata using cardboard and crocheted yarn! The centerpieces featured pinwheels placed in mason jars full of sand and the banner garland was made from paint chip samples cut into triangles strung with crocheted chain.
