How to Make a Rainbow Slushie for Kids (plus an adult version)
The perfect Rainbow slushie for St. Patrickโs Day, unicorn parties or any day of the year has been created by Kara of @kara.vahe on Instagram. I also love how Kara styled this photo with my rainbow confetti to keep the rainbow vibes going strong.
While this is of course a kid friendly Rainbow Slushie - @kara.vahe says it can also be spiced up a bit for adults with a touch of Mailbu Rum. Letโs start making your Rainbow Slushies . . .
Shopping List to Make this Rainbow Slushie from @kara.vahe
โข Sprinkles
โข Honey, marshmallow fluff or frosting for the rim
โข Shaved ice maker (recommend KOJI from target )
โข Syrups in red, yellow and blue
โข Malibu rum if desired (passion fruit was yummy)
How to Make the Rainbow Slushie
1. Rim glass with desired ingredient and rim with the sprinkles
2. Put a little shaved ice in a small cup and mix colors using the syrups. Then pour into taller glass.
3. Repeat until youโve made the entire rainbow working backwards. Purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red.
Tips:
โข place glass in fridge for five minutes after youโve rimmed the glass to prevent the sprinkles from sliding down.
โข If your syrups are pale and you want them brighter, drop one drop of food coloring in and mix. I used one drop of yellow to help make green and a brighter yellow because the yellow syrup is pretty pale.
